SXSW Film Festivalは、feature film(長編映画)、short(短編)、episodic(エピソード)、またはXRプロジェクトのプレミア上映作品を募集いたします。 SXSW＜オンライン＞カンファレンス＆フェスティバルは2021年3月16日から20日まで開催されます。SXSWオンラインでは、基調講演とセッション、スクリーニング、ライブショーケース、ネットワーキング、展示会が行われます。Film Festivalではこの一環として行われます。 SXSW2020では、Episodic部門にPictures Deptの「Homecoming: The Journey of Cardboard」が日本からの出品としてノミネートされました。2021年も日本発の映像作品の活躍が期待されています。 映像作品のフォーマットとカテゴリーが複数ありますので、必ず提出サイトにあるガイドラインとFAQ（英語）を確認の上、期限内にご応募ください。 SXSW2021 Filmの提出期限（すべて米国オースティン時間11:59pmまで） ●早期締切：2020年10月14日 ●最終締切：2020年10月28日 ●カテゴリー：Features, Shorts, Episodics, Music Videos, XR projects, and Title Sequences Film festivalや作品の提出について質問はfilmfest@sxsw.com（英語のみ）、その他SXSW全般についてのご質問はjapan@sxsw.comにお問い合わせください。

●Feature Film（長編映画）セクション　※40分以上の作品 ・Narrative Feature Competition Ten world premieres, ten unique ways to celebrate the art of storytelling. ・Documentary Feature Competition Ten world premieres, ten real world stories that demonstrate innovation, energy and bold voices. ・Headliners Big names, big talent: Headliners bring star power to SXSW, featuring red carpet premieres and gala film events with major & rising names in cinema. ・Narrative Spotlight High profile narrative features receiving their World, North American or U.S. premieres at SXSW. ・Documentary Spotlight Shining a light on new documentary features receiving their World, North American or U.S. premieres at SXSW. ・Visions Visions filmmakers are audacious, risk-taking artists in the new cinema landscape who demonstrate raw innovation and creativity in documentary and narrative filmmaking. ・Midnighters Scary, funny, sexy, controversial – provocative after-dark features for night-owls and the terminally curious. ・24 Beats Per Second Showcasing the sounds, culture & influence of music & musicians, with an emphasis on documentary. ・Global A diverse selection of International filmmaking talent, featuring innovative narratives, artful documentaries, premieres, festival favorites and more. ・Festival Favorites Acclaimed standouts & selected previous premieres from festivals around the world. ・Special Events Live soundtracks, cult re-issues & much more. Our Special Events section offers unusual, unexpected & unique one-off film events. ●Episodic（エピソード）セクション ・Episodic Premieres Presenting world premieres of prestige serials slated for release and accompanied by show-runners, directors and cast members featuring extended Q&As. ・Episodic Pilot Competition A pilot showcase introducing fresh work from bright new talent, many with an eye towards finding production, completion funds, or a release platform. ●Short Film（短編映画） Sections　※40分未満の作品 ・Narrative Shorts A selection of original, well-crafted films that take advantage of the short form and exemplify distinctive and genuine storytelling. ・Documentary Shorts Slices of life from across the documentary spectrum. ・Animated Shorts An assortment of stories told using traditional animation, computer-generated effects, stop-motion, and everything in-between. ・Midnight Shorts Bite-sized bits for all of your sex, gore, and hilarity cravings. ・Music Videos A range of classic, innovative, and stylish work showcasing the scope of music video culture. ・Texas Shorts An offshoot of our regular narrative shorts program, composed of work shot in, about, or somehow relating to the Lone Star state. ・Texas High School Shorts A preview of the next filmmaking generation, as Texas High Schoolers present shorts of 5 minutes or less. ・Title Design Competition Inspired by an essential part of the theatrical experience, these are works of art in their own right. ●XRセクション ・Virtual Cinema The immersive arts are finding new ways to enhance our ability to perceive the world that surrounds us, and in many instances they are redefining how we experience the world. The projects presented in our Virtual Cinema emphasize storytelling, ingenuity and also showcase how other industries are embracing this new medium.

応募資格

応募資格＆注意事項 ●2019年、2020年に完成しているか、2021年の初頭までに完成している作品が対象となります ●feature film(長編映画)のみ、次の場合は応募資格がありません ・SXSW前に米国の劇場で公開されている（フェスティバル上映、スタッフ内のプライベート上映を除く） ・SXSW前にオンライン配信プラットフォームでリリースされている（期間限定のオンライン映画祭を除く） ・SXSW前に米国でテレビ放送されている ・SXSW前にビデオ、Blu-rayまたはDVDでリリースされている ※その他の応募カテゴリーはプレミアステータスをよく確認して応募してください ●応募の際は可能な限り完成形の映像であること。最終段階だが完成していない場合はカラコレ、サウンドミックス前など未完成要素を説明ください。 （一部カット・トレーラー・脚本のみでの提出は受け入れません、これらはあくまで添付資料として提出することは可能です） ●2021年3月まで審査視聴が可能なURLを提出すること、公にしたくない場合はパスワードなどかけてください。DVDなどでの提出は認められません。 （自身のサイト、動画プラットフォームなど自由ですがVimeoのパスワード付きリンクを推奨） ●英語以外の言語の場合、英語の字幕が必須です
